Alexei Offill-Klein

Alexei-Offill Klein

Mr. Offill-Klein is a litigation associate whose focus is in the defense of general liability and employment-related claims. On the general liability side, he represents clients in the railroad, busing, and medical transport industries, including both private companies and public entities. On the employment side, he represents employers in matters involving wrongful termination, whistleblower and retaliation claims, employment discrimination, harassment, defamation, wage and hour, and reasonable accommodation and access issues, before state courts, federal courts, and various administrative agencies, related to claims asserted under the FEHA, the ADA, the California Labor Code, and the Federal Railroad Safety Act.

Mr. Offill-Klein served as second-chair at a trial in federal court defending a significant personal injury case stemming from a railroad grade crossing accident, has prepared appellate briefs before the California Court of Appeal and the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, and has prepared and argued numerous summary judgment motions.

A Los Angeles native who moved to the fairer half of the state to earn his B.A. in Sociology at the University of California, Berkeley, Mr. Offill-Klein later earned his J.D. at the University of California, Davis. While in law school, Mr. Offill-Klein served as an editor on the law review. He completed clerkships at the California Court of Appeal and at Los Angeles County Superior Court. Outside of the office, Mr. Offill-Klein enjoys traveling, finding that restaurant that no one has discovered yet, and following his beloved Dodgers (much to the chagrin of the majority of his colleagues).
